So basically, somewhere in London 1356 female students were shown a set of videos and apparently the ones with sense of humour recognised when men were telling lies. Then, I start to wonder, how do they measure if you have sense of humour? That is first and second, how that is not just a coincidence because I don't see how sense of humour and ability to recognise lies can be related. I still remember that time when we studied in our statistics module about sampling techniques and correlation and some example when in the 90's there was perfect correlation between petrol prices and the number of babies born this year (the example was something along those lines). Obviously, the two events are not related in any sensible way.
And yet I wonder, do I have sense of humour and if I do, can I count on my hunch that my boyfriend is lying to me or not?~ Vesi
